Customer Review: Quick heat from a heating pad

I am a marathon runner. For those days we do long runs, regardless of how well I am in condition I have days my muscles ache. Plus, there are those months when I have injured something. To overcome these aches and injuries one must stretch, and stretch a lot. The running team's physical therapist recommended applying heat to the muscles we were stretching to both allow them to stretch more easily and to also lessen the problem of adding additional injury. Heating pads take too long to heat, and they are flat (i.e. don't curve to fit the body).
I had once owned a heating pad (which we purchased from the "Relax the Back" store) what was submerged in water then heated in a microwave. Over the years it developed mold had was discarded. I searched for an exact replacement but couldn't find it. I found this one on Amazon. It is not submerged in water, but is heated in a microwave dry. I would like a wet pad that can be microwaved, but this one specifically says don't wet.
I found this pad to work very satisfactory for my needs. Microwave for 1.5 minutes and there is instant warmth for the desired area. It is filled with beads of some sort, so it is hugs the contours of the body (legs, sides, etc). It allows me to quickly heat the desired area, stretch, and rarely do I need to reheat for the same area during the stretching exercise since it stays warm for a sufficient period of time.
I would still like to find a wet heating pad that is microwaveable, but this is great in the interim.
