I have been taking ThreeLac for 14 months now, and I am amazed at how much my quality of life has improved. I had a chronic yeast infection that would come back every month for almost 6 years and the doctors kept giving me Difulcan to treat the symptoms, but eventually that stopped working as well. I have been diagnosed as having Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but I didn't think that perhaps a yeast overgrowth in my body could be partly to blame for my pain and exhaustion. After seeing a naturopathic doctor, he suggested taking ThreeLac in order to gain control of the yeast issues in my body and combat some of my suffering. I can happily report that I have never felt better in my life! Threelac has been a HUGE lifesaver!!!! If I could shout it from the roof tops I would! About 2 months ago I inadvertantly fell off the bandwagon and failed to take my Threelac on a regular basis. It took me about 2 weeks to realize why I was feeling so horrible again, and I started up taking the Threelac in full force again. This will probably be something that I will take forever with my daily vitamins, but it is well worth it to have my life back! I can happily say that I'm sleeping much better, my aches and joint pain is gone, and the "fog" that used to plague my thought patterns has cleared. At six years old, my daughter was starting to unravel mentally and physically. She was anxious all of the time, could not handle the smallest change in routine, was regressing in her learning, and would spend hours locked in her room, re-arranging everything in her room, and insisting on sleeping with very bizarre items. She would also complain of stomach cramps, and would periodically run high fevers and experience vomiting and diarrhea. I started to suspect a food allergy, and found information relating to Candida and leaky gut syndrome and the effects when combined with food allergies. When she testes positive for yeast, I immediately started her on ThreeLac, and cut gluten and casein from her diet. She experienced some withdrawal for a couple of days, but has blossomed since then. She is a child that we have never known - happy, relaxed, well adjusted, social, and confident. No more cramping or vomiting. Apart from her miraculous recovery, my husband and I are sleeping better at night, with fewer aches and pains that we thought were normal, I no longer have migraines or irregular cycles, and our other daughters have not been sick since taking this product. I recommend it to everyone and think it is more than worth the price. You don't have to refrigerate it, can take it anywhere, mix it in anything. I've been taking this product for exactly 1 month now and it really works! My bloating went away to the point my tummy is flat. I don't remember when is the last time I had a flat tummy. I also have completely stopped craving sugar, it's such a weird feeling. My coworker had some chocolate on her desk for anyone to take and I didn't even want any, which has never happened. I just walked by and didn't touch the chocolate. I noticed that I've also lost weight. For months, my weight was stuck on the same number on the scale. And taking Three Lac is the only thing I've changed in my life. I woke up this morning and weighed myself to see that I was down 2 lbs!! I am so incredibly pleased with the results, which are better than I expected. I had all these symptoms, bloating, weight gain, sugar cravings, irritability, mind foginess, and gradually all of these are disappearing. I also feel so much better overall. I no longer have that uncomfortable feeling of fullness as soon as I eat anything. I leave the table now as comfortable than as when I first sat down. My facial acne has also dwindled to nothing, and I didn't realize it until today. My entire body feels healthier, which means that this stuff is working! I wish I could say something positive about Three-Lac. I was certainly optimistic after reading all the wonderful reviews on this site. I was diagnosed with an overgrowth of candida after taking a long course of antibiotics. After taking Acidophilus Pearls, Culturelle and various other probiotics with no effect (not to mention Nystatin and Sporonox, both of which made me very ill), I decided to give Three-Lac a whirl. At the start, I enjoyed a mild increase of energy at the lowest dose (1 packet). But when I increased the dose, I suffered from diarrhea. I decreased the dose until the symptoms subsided, and then tried to increase it again, but with the same ill effects. I decreased and increased several times over the course of a year, always with the same result. Like the gentleman who experienced horrible gas, I also became very interesting company while I was taking Three-Lac. And my various digestive problems continued to plague me. After fifteen months I switched from Three-Lac to Kefir, a yogurt-like drink, and within three days my digestion started to improve. The gas disappeared immediately, as did the diarrhea. And for the first time in over a year, the persistent pain on my right side diminished. After a week I was able to re-introduce dairy products without ill effect. I too bought into the hype thinking that this will help me with my candida. Read mostly positive reviews, some negative ones, but... I decided to give it a try. Bought 2 boxes and started taking initially two a day.
Few things happened within the first week:
1. My candida flared up like I have never seen it before (I've had it for few years so I know a thing or two about flare-ups). I thought - great! The buggers are dying off. So I upped the dose to 3 per day and it only got worse... I got flare-ups where I have never had before on my body.
2. I got acne on my face. I am over 40 years old and I had not have acne for over 20 years. Big, nasty zits in my forehead. Argh...
I continued to take it until I ran out of packets- about 2 months. The situation did not get better despite me eating the right stuff (there is plenty written about candida diets), drinking the powdery scam and being generally miserable.
However, once I ran out of supplies all my flares subdued and I was back to where I started.
So... it is possible for this supplement to work for some people, but for me it actually made things worse. Live and learn.
