As a college strudent, I have limited space in my apartment. This desk does the trick. The only thing I don't like is that the bottom isn't as soft as expected, and it is indented to fit your legs. As a result, it works great and it is extremely comfortable when your feet are on he ground, but it doesn't work well if you want to cross your legs and use the desk.Customer Review: Comfy and handy

I bought this to put my lap top on when I use it. It works well and is very comfortable. I also like the added feature of the light so I can work at night with out bothering anybody else. My only complaint is that it is a bit bulky and somewhat of a pain to store away when its not being used. I have found that it will go under the bed with out too much fuss.Customer Review: Great Gadget

This lapdesk is just what I was looking for. The light is bright enough to light the keyboard, it's not heavy, it's cushioned enough to be comfortable in my lap and large enough to accommodate my 17" laptop. I highly recommend this one!
Con: 4 size "C" batteries are needed for the light. An AC cord would be a nice feature. I opted to use rechargeables.

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter who draws all the time and everywhere we go. She needed one for the car and for in the house. The light is great, especially when we are in the car. It doesn't disturb anyone else. The light fixture does get hot though. She can now sit and work anywhere. Love the laptop desk for my laptop. Fits my lap and is not too heavy. The lamp is the right light for darkness, not too bright, not too dim. I use it every evening to browse the net or to eat dinner in front of the TV. I have enjoyed my lapdesk with light since I got it and I would definantly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a lapdesk.
