My 11 year old son was complaining of great heel pain on and off for over a year. It would get worse, of course, during soccer season. We finally went to an orthopedist who diagnosed him w/Sever's Disease (common growth plate issue). He recommended not bothering to try any other heel pads except these Tuli's Heavy Duty Gel Cups! Look no further if you have heel pain...these inserts provide immediate relief (for me, anyway). The only drawback is their slightly high profile, which could be a problem when used in dressier shoes. I've tried almost all of the heel inserts carried in Walgreens, to little or no effect. These inserts are a little more expensive, but they're worth it. Lifetime warranty, too.Customer Review: pediatrician

I am a pediatrician and bought these for my 12-year old daughter who was having heel pain (Severs Disease) playing basketball. An orthopedist once recommended to me that I should only recommend "waffle" heel lifts. Since I bought these for her, she has not complained of any heel pain. Good for dress shoes - not for sneakers. For me, sneakers already have a lot of cushion. But dress shoes don't have much padding and aggravate my achilles tendonitis. These Tuli's gel heel cups are much better than what I have bought previously at a drug store. I have 10 1/2 mens size shoe and the regular size was a good fit.Customer Review: They really work

My son plays soccer every day and was hobbled by heel pain. He started to use these heel cups (in his regular shoes and in his cleats) and was able to walk and run normally again within a day or two. Ice packs and stretching probably helped, too, but the heel cups seemed to make the difference.
