Both ends of item can be unscrewed, turned around, and screwed into the shaft such that the working ends are "retracted" into the handle -- safe for storage... but on mine, the threads weren't turned properly, and the lancet doesn't stay attached and the blackhead remover doesn't come unscrewed.
The heft of the tool is nice, though... but the distribution of weight doesn't feel substantial or balanced.
The opening on the blackhead remover isn't large enough to effectively surround my pores (yuck, I know... but we all know what this is for... ), so it sits in my cabinet waiting for the really tiny blackheads.
Complete waste of money.
