I bought this before I heard Amazon has been asked many times
to stop selling Animal Fighting information, books and magazines
to people that abuse animals. I guess Michael Vick is their best
customer. I have heard that Amazon has a law suit in the courts
but still refuse to stop selling this information. Animal fighting
is against the law so why are they selling this???? What's next child
porn?
Shame on Amazon - Sorry I bought this through them it won't happen again.
If you have a pet
and love animals don't buy from them and spread the word.

Summary: 4 Stars I purchased this for my 91 year old grandmother and had it shipped directly to her. Though she is completely independent and has her wits about her, she was unable to assemble the seat her self. She eventually got help from a neighbor. Once she used it she commented that it was sturdier than the previous model she had. She uses it on her couch because leg weakness makes it very difficult to get up. She is completely satisfied with the functionality and form of the product. This is the third such seat she has purchased. They seem to last about 2 years before the mechanicals break.

I got one of these things for my 84 year old mother a few months ago. She was a little intimidated by it at first, but then one day started singing it's praises. So now I'm getting another one for my father (who weighs enough more that they can't share the same cushion). It's not the most comfortable chair in the world, and is too high to use at the dinner table, but it gives them some measure of independence.Customer Review: It changed my husband's life

My husband broke his arm and couldn't get out of his chair without help. I bought this product for him and it honestly changed his life. Instead of having to ask me to help him stand up, he could get up and sit down by himself. It gave him a measure of freedom that he desperately needed when he really wasn't feeling well.
Now I can't get it away from him.

This item came quickly. I had a bit of a time figuring out how to adjust the pressure amount,but I got it. I bought this for my 90 year old mother who lives in assisted living. She just couldn't get use to something different. It did work when I tried it. I think it is a great idea, so we will keep it. Perhaps someone else we know will be able to put it to use.
