Love this lamp! Great for arthritis, hobbies, and those with poor eyesight, but there are some things you should know.
"You don't need nimble fingers or a strong grip", only applies AFTER the lamp is assembled. Best way to assemble is to lay the lamp horizontally on its side on carpet and go from there. Do not place upright until completely assembled. Light bulb is very hard to insert.
If you are changing the bulb at a later date, flex the neck backwards until the bulb is horizontal to the ceiling. You will save yourself a lot of frustration.
Also, the lamp I received was obviously returned by a previous customer. Too much trouble to return, but am not pleased Amazon sent me a used product and charged an arm & a leg for it.
Packaging leaves something to be desired.
Both package and lamp are very heavy.

The item arrived in very timely fashion. It was easy to assemble, and it is working fine. The light is bright and really does help to sort out navy blue from black fabrics. I am glad that I bought this brand, as it does have a good reputation, which so far it is living up to. The tray attached to the stand is very handy for holding small objects so that they are close at hand.Customer Review: Attractive but poor design

Pros: Very easy to assemble, sturdy.
Cons: Poor design - flexible neck lost its structure after several times of moving it in different directions.
That said, Amazon's return procedure made it a snap to return the product and I received my refund very quickly.

I am able to do very fine needlework in the evening because of this lamp. I used to have to wait for a sunny day- now it is sunny all the time! The lamp does tend to flicker on the "low" setting, however, but that may be the bulb. Overall, I am very pleased with this product.Customer Review: Organist loves the light

We bought this lamp because we gave our old one to our church organist. She is 70 - something and needed really good light to see the music. Works perfect. We use ours to provide good light for knitting.
