The cost of the lamp is prohibitive. Buying a regular desk lamp, and replacing the bulb with an energy-efficient soft-white light bulb is a more economical option.
Also, the lamp is top heavy, and needs a wide base to support it. Be prepared to yield considerable desk space to the lamp.

I purchased this lamp for work. I work at a computer all day dealing with numbers and very small print (6 pt. fonts). It's perfect. I don't find it bottom heavy at all. I was disappointed in the quality of this product. Specifically, the poor construction and material of the lens assembly.
The plastic assembly for the lamp lens was very fragile and broke after two days. I would not purchase another of their
products due to this issue.

I bought this lamp to replace my last. There is a light on the ceiling, but I thought it would be nice to have a lamp for reading, but when the light is on, the lamp light is almost invisible. In the night, when only the lamp is on, the light is very focused... and dim.Customer Review: .

This desk lamp has an easy to adjust flex-neck. The bulb emits a bright natural light, making reading a pleasure in those dimly lit areas. I am satisfied and recommend the lamp.
