Customer Review: Could be better even though it's the best

The pro's: after having tried many massagers myself and read about many more, there's really no beating the power of the Thumper Mini Pro 2. In my opinion, it's already paid for itself in the short amount of time I've owned it, especially when you consider what a professional massage costs, and the convenience of using this any time you need it.
The $40 massagers at your local store, although good for more sensitive areas such as your neck, simply can't penetrate thick muscle tissue like the Thumper can. It's been especially helpful relieving my sciatic nerve pain and numbness.
I've also tried the GenieRub that a friend loaned me; although it's also industrial strength, even on the lowest setting it's very aggressive and noisy, and lacks the precision of the Thumper.
The con's: The basic design is great, but I think they could make it more ergonomic. Since the thumping end of it is very heavy, it's difficult and awkward to use on yourself. The handle is hard plastic and basically rectangular, and it seems to me that it would be a lot easier to hold and guide with some kind of contoured rubber grip. Another idea would be perhaps some kind of counter-handle, that is, a short handle (maybe detachable) attached to the thumper side that could be supported with the other hand.
I'm no engineer, but it seems that the design of the thumper is somewhat dated by modern standards, and I think if they put their mind to it, they could make a great product even better.
