Customer Reviews of Vicks Nursery 1 Gallon Vaporizer with Night-LightCustomer Review: Basic Vaporizer at a good price Summary: 4 StarsWorks fine though with small capacity; runs for 8-9 hours. Compact for easy storage and a good value (I paid $11.96) for a basic vaporizer. When you first insert the heating element it tends to float up but then settles into place as the water seeps in. (It lacks a lock or screw tight mechanism.) We have used this overnight in our bedroom when fighting a cold. You may need to add baking soda to make it work faster depending on the level of minerals in your water.
Customer Review: cheap and works great Summary: 4 StarsPros: Good price. Works properly.
Cons: There is some black/brown substance after use in the remaining water, as expected. It takes some wiggling/shaking with upside down position of the container to make sure it is all cleaned up. Still a good buy to me.
Customer Review: Waste of Money! Summary: 1 StarsI bought this and it worked fine the first time that I used it. Granted, it was late summer and the house was pretty warm so it was not to difficult to steam up the bedroom. However, I have tried it in my infant's room 4 times this winter. I used HOT water & salt to try to help it, but the darn thing does not have enough power to make the steam. Maybe all of the "steam" energy is being used on the night light! If you have your home's thermostat set under 78 degrees, do not waste your money on this item! Find something stronger to get you through the winter months!
Customer Review: Small but great Summary: 5 StarsI bought this vaporizer several weeks ago. I feel better after I use this. It created steam very fast (about 2-3 minutes after plugging). You may have to fill some salt to make it create a lot of steam. However, a lot of steam means the water will decrease rapidly so if you want to use this vick for a long time(about 12-20 hours), you may not need to use salt.
