My boyfriend got these for me because he knows that I pretty much wont take vitamins unless its in some kind of candy form. I have a very difficult time with most pills and will avoid taking them as much as possible. When the delivery system is yummy I am much more inclined to take them. I have tried the viactiv chews in the past and really liked those and the healthsmart sugar free chocolate coated caramel ones and I loved those but they are very expensive at $15 for 24 chews. I also really liked that these had 1000 IU of vitamin D instead of 200 IU like the other ones. So now for the cons... first, these aren't really gummy, I know that may seem like a minor issue but the texture of these is closer to a jelly bean than it is a gummy and I really dislike jelly beans. Had I have tasted these first I wouldn't have gotten them. Also, they are very sweet! Yes, I know that they are candy and supposed to be sweet but these are almost sickeningly sweet without enough tartness to round it out. I thought they would be a bit like sour gummies but they are nothing close to that. Also, they have a faint yogurty smell to them when you sniff the bottle. I don't particularly mind it but its a little odd (yes, I have to smell everything before I put it into my mouth). Overall these are okay, I am going to finish the bottle but I don't think I will get them again. My boyfriend likes them a lot more than I do. Personally, I think I am going to go back to the Healthsmart ones when I am done with these and just take some extra gummy D.
