I never even write reviews but im doing this number one bcuz i cant believe after 21 yrs of dealing with my hair ive actually found something that works, and two bcuz I know someone out there will be curious just like i was. I have type 4b/c hair-typical "black" textured hair. my hair is also natural about an inch above my bra strap. i've recently taken my weave out and have a pretty good head of hair but can never seem to maintain it(it always breaks at one point or another). Ok so I purchased the Fig cleansing conditioner since i read that it worked well on black hair. when i washed my hair i haden't washed it n about 3 wks so i had alot of buildup. i usually have to wash my hair at least 3 times to get my scalp clean so since Wen lacks the detergent, i expected to have to wash it about 4 times...WRONG! i washed it twice n didnt even use that much product and my scalp was CLEAN. i immediatley felt it working on my scalp. for the first time IN MY LIFE, my hair wasnt kinky and tangled after washing it, it was soft, smooth, and i could actually see CURLS in my hair! (NOT KINKS BUT CURLS!. NOW, when i usually blowdry my hair it takes at least 45min-an hr. dealing w all the tangles n kinks and it honestly makes me wanna throw the blowdryer up against a wall...this time it took less than 30 min. the blowdryer ran straight through my hair. it was AMAZING! i never knew that was possible for my hair type. ALSO...AND THIS IS THE PART I STILL CANT BELEIVE, i didnt have to press my hair before flatironing it!!! i also bought a really good flatiron by FHI the platform one. a MUST if u have african american natural hair. so overall, I LOVE WEN! i will NEVER EVER wash my hair w normal shampoo again!! and for all those that are doubting weather it will actually work this is the real deal, i dont know how they did it but chaz dean wen products have solved the riddle to manable hair for black women (without using chemicals!! :)
