Customer Review: Worst Shaver I have ever owned.

Unfortunately, this is the absolutel worst shaver I have ever owned and operated. I have been cutting my own hair for about 10 years, and have been through several shavers, including Wahl products, but this is the worst. Ironically, it is the most I have paid for one before. This shaver vibrates uncontrollably while you are trying to use it, the only question is whether your hand goes numb first or you cut your head numerous times. The only good thing about it is that it does get a close shave; however, at the expense of feeling like your hair is being plucked from your head and scraping your head. I am a Marine so I have been shaving my head for years, so this was not a matter of just never shaving before; the product was a complete disappointment, and if I were not in Iraq I would take steps to try to get a refund but it is too inconvenient at this point.Customer Review: Best haircut ever had ...

Great clippers ! Although the plastic attachments could be better quality (but not given the very cheap price), I gave myself the best haircut I've ever had. At first couldn't get the hang of it, and didn't know what size attachment to use for the top and what to use for the sides... I soaked my hair with water then towel dried it and used one attachment (1 inch) all over for sides and top ... I cut from front to back, side to side, back to front, then took a small hand held mirror and used a bic razor to outline the back of the neck until I get more comfortable doing it with the clippers, I wet my hair again brushed it back and ... VOILA !!! ... THE BEST CUT I'VE HAD BETTER THAN THOSE $30 PLACES TOO .. WITHOUT THE WAITING AND AGGRAVATION, PLUS ..NO BARBER GIVES YOU THE SAME GREAT CUT CONSISTENTLY. NO MORE PUTTING OFF A HAIRCUT FOR WEEKS !! ... YEY HOORAY !Customer Review: Professional haircut-look given by an ordinary mom like me!

This Wahl clipper set has already paid for itself. I was spending $60 every 5 weeks taking my 3 sons to the barber. What the barber was doing with clippers seemed pretty simple so I asked him what number guards he was using and decided to try it myself. I bought the #12 guard directly from Wahl's website to use on my eldest son because he likes to comb his hair to the side. The 3 boys have very different headshapes, texture and thickness of hair, but I've been able to customize their haircuts with the different sized guards provided. I had to buy another cape since the one included in the kit was basically like a trashbag. Other than that, it's wonderful and I've gained a lot of confidence with each month that passes along. Will probably be doing my husband's hair next and saving enough money so I can treat myself to a fancy salon.

Having never cut a single hair my entire life, I was a bit skeptical of actually giving my 2-year old son a haircut. But I watched the DVD (very helpful) and then went to work. It was really easy, and the results look pretty darn good, despite the fact that I cut his hair WHILE HE WAS ASLEEP!
The actual cutter was a lot quieter than I thought it would be. It glided easily thru the hair, with no tugging or pulling. The company has been around for quite some time, so I feel confident that these clippers will also be around for many years to come. Lots of cutting attachments for different lengths, which is really a bonus.
One downfall....the "cape" is nothing more than a garbage bag with ties. Totally worthless. Go to your local Sally Beauty Supply and get a real cape for a couple of bucks.

This is value for money, people, it definitely is. There are few things you need to know though.
The DVD is not all that instructional...frankly, it told me no more than I knew already from common sense or paying attention during hair cuts.
The cape is made of wet paper bags. It would not support a feather.
The trimmer itself is great in performance, but I had to realign the teeth myself - it is not top of the range stuff, so beware ...also, it is packed with the metal scissors so it will definitely be scratched when u get it.
Over all, it is perfect for me, since I am not all that picky about quality as long as stuff is cheap enough and I got tired of paying a lot for haricuts anyway. This item will pay for itself in two months. If you're ok with the cons, go for it!
