I bought this machine and found it to be rather useful. Firstly I must commend AMAZON for delvering it before its scheduled time. The first day I got it I used it and I just wait for the opportunity to use it again and again. I have invited all I know to forsake their barbers and come by me. I would encourage people to buy this machine and as we are aware of the global economic situation, it would be wise to cut back on our spending and this definitely would help. A machine of this kind is low maintenance and highly economical in both the long and short run.Customer Review: Fantastic

This hair clipper is perfect if you want to do your own quick and easy trimming at home. It's perfect for my short haircut. I use the #2 on the sides and a #3 on top. It's easy to get around the ears and is so much easier to use than the smaller rechargeable battery hand held one I had before. The one draw back is that the 'detail' trimmer which flips out from the top of the trimmer and locks over the head doesn't let you trim close to the skin around the ears like I expected. However, that's the only limitation I've found so far.Customer Review: Wahl saves us hundreds of dollars a year!

I have used a Wahl clipper with the numbered guides like this for many years to cut the hair of my four boys. It is reliable and always does a great job. I save at least $350 a year, and the guys look great. Takes about 20 minutes at home (I do a scissor cut on top after clipping the sides, but it's even quicker when you clip the whole head)... and that beats having to drive somewhere, wait in line, pay at least 15 bucks and drive home (and then sometimes having to get out the clipper anyway to correct the paid-for haircut)!Customer Review: Professional clippers

I have owned a number of inexpensive clippers and this one is by far the best. I have only had the unit for a month and have only used it once, but you can tell that it is made from much sturdier material than most clippers. I have no data on longevity, but so far so good.
One note, The guides on this model do not match the length on the guides of my old clippers. This isn't a bad thing, just something you should realize before the first haircut. It was no problem for me because I like a close haircut.

I just brought the Wahl 79900N yesterday and boy do I love it!! I cut my son's hair using the 1/18 clip(or whatever it's called) and it gave him a nice even cut. I hated taking him to the barber shop and waiting 2 hour to get a haircut, what a pain. Now I can always keep him fresh to death and not waste 2 hours of my life in a loud barbershop.
My only drawback is the trimmer that pops up, it doesn't give a good clean shape up. I will just buy a T-Line separately. But overall I am very happy.
