I recently purchased my second Peanut trimmer. I used the first one for about five years but it was getting too dull and replacement blades aren't that much cheaper than a whole new unit. I still have the original but I keep it around for backup and travel only.
I use this primarily to shave my face and trim my beard. It aggravates my skin far less than ordinary shavers. I have tried a variety of alternatives over the years but I settled on the Peanut because it performs well. Battery-powered clippers lack the power I need and tend to lose their recharge capability over time. The Peanut is AC-powered so it never fades.
The only criticism I can think of is that the attachments are made from the sort of brittle plastic that snaps very easily. If I required them routinely I would lower my rating.

I love this thing. I got 2 of them granted because I lost the No.1 guard for the first one, but it was still worth it. Now I got two great clippers. Powerful, compact, can cut small spaces better/easier than standard clippers, easy to clean, comes with everything that you need for the average hair cut. when I used my friend's peanut for the first time I couldn't believe how well they worked I was sold then, if they ever break down on me I am sure to replace them with another peanut. After reading all the other reviews I decided to try this clipper. I have now used it twice, and can say I like the product. It is a bit small to be a stand alone clipper. Plus there needs to be one or two guards that are longer than the #4. In my opinion it works great for touch up work. It is easier to handle than the larger clippers I have tried. I have used it alone to cut my hair, but I will need to buy another clipper with a longer guard for my winter haircut.Customer Review: Wahl Peanut Hair Clippers - the best!

I had an older pair and they broke so I had to replace it with the same "peanut" model. This is a small clippers, but do a BIG JOB!
It's all packed in a tiny package and with all the attachments, you can do a major hair cut, clipping, or shaping job. Wonderful piece of equipment and very durable.

I bought this razor seven years ago and used it continually through out the ensuing years. Just bought a new one -- I wish all products lasted this long and were so reliable as to only need to replace it every 7 years.
