Customer Reviews of WalkFit Orthotic Insoles - Size GCustomer Review: As seen on T.V.!!!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I am more than pleased with this product! I have always been skeptical to buy anything promoted in an informational but I have suffered sciatica for too long. I bought every kind of over the counter inserts, some would provide "relief" for a littte while, but that's all. I watched bits and pieces of the commercial for this product, but of course never ordered. As time marched on, pain began to radiate to my upper back as well. I started going to the chiropractor on a regular basis. Finally I ordered it. AMAZING. As long as yuo follow the insrtuctions, you should be fine. DAY ONE: wear only for one hour DAY TWO: Where untill uncomfortable (and they can be!!) But stick in there! I can understand the analogy in the other review about "the roll of dimes". I felt it too, but I took them out of my shoes and then put them back the next day. It does take a while to get used to them as they are shifting your foot around, but after the first week I did not had ANY back pain. I have even stopped "popping" my neck, someting I have "had" to do since High School! One other thing to mention...I think it was about the second day I started wearing them full time, oddly, my shins felt like they were going to explode (if anybody was in the military and ever had to do a forced road march it felt like that). But again, I took them out for the remainder of the day, and have not experienced it since. All in all, this product did not "save my life", but it sure improved the quality of it exponentially!!! Highly recomended!!!! I have already bought more of these to give to friends!
Customer Review: Will probably help some people but not my flat feet. Summary: 2 Stars
Despite the two stars I give them, I will say these inserts are well made. For those who are able to use them they will probably work well. Despite it stating specifically on their web site that these supports will help flat footed people, I find them too painful to wear.
My problem is shin pain from overpronation caused by flat feet (or at least arches that flatten out when I walk or run ). Using these is like having large, smooth rocks in my shoes. Even with the lowest arch insert they act as a fulcrum that my feet rock back and forth over. I wore them for about a half hour each morning for over a month and my feet would still hurt each time I put my shoes on.
I think the problem is that the arch inserts are made of hard, inflexible plastic. For me at least there needs to be some give, without that they are unwearable for me.
Customer Review: I got used to them, they help Summary: 4 Stars
I've had these for a few weeks now, it did take several days to get used to them, and even early in the day my feet take a few minutes to get used to them again, but after a full day of wearing them around the house, or even walking through airports in dress shoes, I wouldn't want anything else.
I've had custom made orthotics in the past, and bought every variety of insoles and orthotics that you find in the drugstore aisles, and none provided this kind of support or durability. They feel like the custom orthotics did, but those were carbon fiber so there wasn't much give, and eventually they broke from using in sports.
So I am happy with these, worth the money, but it's a very subjective thing, some feet just won't like orthotics like this.
Customer Review: Foot fixers! Summary: 5 Stars
Plantar fasciitis is a pain in the foot, or both feet. The only fix that I can get from my doctor is to wear properly fitted shoes, stretch the achilles-calf-quad muscle chain, and use an orthotic. For twenty bucks or less, the WalkFit works really well.
They're not soft and cushy, but supportive. It takes a few minutes for body heat to soften them a little, and then the stiffness disappears and so does most of the pain. I can walk 9 holes of golf now, about 2 miles. And it's getting better.
I can't see spending fifty bucks on the Dr Sch**l's version, or hundreds on 'custom' orthotics. WalkFits need to be tried first, if you have any sense.
Customer Review: Foot support Summary: 4 Stars
The negative reviews, in my opinion, are due to a lack of understanding. Wearing these orthotics will hurt, that is the way it's supposed to be. One must wear them a few minutes or hours at the time until the feet and the body conform to the new alignment.
Custom made are better but, they are very expensive and need periodical adjustment or replacement.
These orthotics are a very good alternative. I run marathons and couldn't run 5 miles without orthotics. One need to be patient, the more you need them, the longer it takes to adapt.
