The Water Pik and pik pocket tips are really a wonderful thing for gum health. My husband was on the verge of extensive gum surgery when he started using the water pik with the pik pocket tips. He uses them daily with a mixture of 50/50 Listerine and water. Thus far he has avoided the knife and substantially improved the condition of his gums! The effect of the special tip is to reduce the force of water into the gum spaces, so that the space is irrigated gently rather than forced further away from the teeth,which would happen with the regular tip.
It's a keeper!
