Customer Reviews of Waterpik Ultra Cordless Dental Water JetCustomer Review: Don't waste your money Summary: 1 StarsI purchased this model to replace an older water pik that finally quit. This unit is not user friendly. Very bulky. Not comfortable to use.
1. It does not hold enough water. I need to fill it twice to get the job done.
2. Unit does not fit in my sink. Need to have a pitcher handy to fill it.
3. It is not adjustable, tho they do provide two "piks" one of which is 'supposed' to be a lower volume.
Soon this will be replaced with a standard model. I've had two in the past that worked fine & both lasted many years. (I'm over 61 with my own teeth).
Customer Review: Completely useless Summary: 1 Stars1) The reservoir is too small, it will empty in under 20 seconds. You will need to stop and refill at least 5 times to clean your mouth once.
2) Battery is useless. It drains incredibly fast even charging whenever not in use. You can't just plug it in either since you'd electrocute yourself on the open circuit.
3) The tip must be held in place manually. It swivels constantly unless you hold it in place yourself.
4) The water only pumps if the waterpik is held perfectly vertical and stationary.
5) Problem 3&4 are such that you don't move the waterpik around in your mouth, you /move your head/ around the waterpik!
6) Good luck trying to actually clean anything this way, did I mention you have less than 20 seconds before you need to refill again?
Do NOT buy this. It fails to serve any purpose.
Customer Review: JETrash Summary: 1 StarsI have been a satisfied user of the regular Waterpik for years, so decided to get the cordless for "travel". It traveled directly into the trash. It is virtually useless. I thought the horrendous reviews could not be true, but they were not exaggerations! Unless you only have 2 or 3 teeth, it doesn't hold enough water. It's also almost virtually impossible to use adequately because of its design. Why in the world Waterpik would be willing to damage its reputation by keeping this albatross on the market is the big mystery.
Customer Review: The worst product that I have ever purchased! Summary: 1 StarsIt is inexcusable the this $50 piece of trash is still on the market. Waterpik has to know that this product is crap. It leaks. The battery drains out every use (keep it plugged in when not in use). The water pressure is inconsistent. I've had it 4 months and it is now dead.
Customer Review: good, but not as good as the ultra corded Summary: 4 StarsI used the ultra corded model for over a year before moving to a college dorm, which didn't have outlets in the bathroom. This cordless model is a bit more difficult to control due to the size (as opposed to the small easy to handle corded models), the tip tends to swivel much too easily (easier than the corded models) so it is sometimes hard to keep in position to spray properly, the pressure is okay for somebody who has sensitive gums, which waterpiks are great for, but I doubt the high setting on this are more than a 5 or 6 on the ultra model (which goes up to 10.) Part of this is because of the limited water supply so I understand from a design standpoint.
To put it simply if you have any space and an open outlet, use the waterpik ultra corded model, I'm going to buy another one of those as soon as I move.
