Customer Reviews of Waterpik Waterflosser Cordless PLUSCustomer Review: This device is a joke...and you're the punchline Summary: 1 Stars
$52 at the local Walgreen's. I took it back the very next day. Plenty of other posts detail the device's shortcomings. The engineering was abysmal and WaterPik evidently decided it was better to try and unload it in the marketplace and embarrass itself, than to suck it up, work out the bugs, and roll out an adequate model. I first used WaterPik as a teenager when I had braces. But there is a vastly superior system that was designed by a French dentist, Dr. Woog. Don't laugh. It has 5 jet streams instead of WaterPik's 1. It's what WaterPik would evolve into if they really cared about quality. The 'Woog Periosystem' went out of business 20(?) years ago but somebody purchased the patent and still makes them. On to the internet search engine.
Customer Review: Don't waste your money Summary: 1 Stars
I don't even know where to begin. Some of the problems are just because its made to be portable. Of course it doesn't hold much water - so, you have to refill it about 4 times. That is understandable. The design is horrible though. The head swivels and turns while you're using it making it impossible to direct whre you want the water to go. You have to hold it upright and of course the water runs out of your mouth and all over the device and your hand, down your arm, etc. They should make a portable device with a seperate tank with a hose - something similar to the regular full size model, but with a smaller tank, shorter hose, and smaller handle. It makes no sense to have the head, handle, and tank in one piece - stupid design.
Customer Review: Great overall, few flaws Summary: 4 Stars
I was always sceptic about the waterpick versus flossing. But this product does work the same and maybe even better. It does get the teeth very clean, in every little pocket. I have braces and it works great around them with the standard tip. No more touching the gross floss :))
Pros: Gets the teeth sparkling clean. Period.
Cons: The tip DOES rotate easily, like other reviewers mentioned. Not sure if it's a safety issue, but it is rotating way too easy. Workaround - I just hold it by the tip instead of the body and regulate it.
The tank does empty very fast, but the workaround - just keep the faucet running and from time to time just fill in the water without stopping, just bend low :) It works fine and saves time.
Customer Review: Do not waste your money on Waterpik (if you have a full set of teeth). Summary: 1 Stars
I should have read the reviews first. The battery will not charge or hold the charge after a year. The reservoir is too small, you can not complete a full clean unless you refill the reservoir five to six times*.
Stay away from Waterpik. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
The sales material (and the warranty include with the product) promised that it could be returned within 30 days to Waterpik. I called them, and they told me to return it to the place where purchased. Here they told me that I could not return it if used.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON WATERPIK. Find a reliable brand.
* On second thought, the small reservoir may be sufficient for some folks. That is if they only have a couple of teeth left.
Customer Review: Great Product! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this Waterpik several weeks ago and could not be more pleased. I had read some negative reviews before and they were way of the mark. The tip does not turn when it is in your mouth unless maybe you mashed it against your tooth or something. It stays charged for a long time, easy to handle, the two setting are perfect as I prefer the lighter setting and it is just right. I had the prior model and this is a big improvement in handling it as it has a curved body now instead of straight. Also the tip release is farther away so you cannot accidently push it when using it like I did a few times with the old one. Also the on off switch is easier to use than before. Can't think of anything that can be improved!
