Customer Review: Not an Accurate Scale
Summary: 2 Stars

This scale is NOT accurate. After reading the product reviews I decided against my better judgment to try this. A lot of people said this scale can be way off sometimes, and it really is. Scales with a mechanical readout are probably more accurate. I purchased this scale because it had 0.1 LB increments, so in theory it would be great for tracking daily progress. However because it is so inaccurate the 0.1 LB increments are totally useless. Like any cheap scale, it's better than nothing. But because this scale is listed at $40 it is probably not worth buying. You are better off with a scale with bigger increments but is more accurate. Also, yes it has a big ugly sticker in the middle but it didn't seem to be a huge problem for me. If you are a perfectionist you will probably struggle to take the sticker off like previous reviews. I don't know if the sticker affects the scale accuracy because I haven't tried to take it off. But I must admit it would definitely look better with the sticker off. If you were interested in this product because of the 0.1 LB increments like I was, I suggest you look elsewhere because this scale will only disappoint you.

Customer Review: Accurate, consistent, clean looks, easy to read, weighs in 1/10 lb increments
Summary: 4 Stars

We bought this digital scale to replace our analog scale thinking it would be easier to read and prettier to look at. It is both. It gives consistent readings to the tenth of a pound, meaning that it gives the exact same reading if I step off and back on a few minutes apart. I weighed our two cats (10.2 lbs and 10.7 lbs) and found that if weigh myself holding a cat, it displays the exact sum of our individual weights. My weight is consistent with our old scale, except that this scale gives a much more precise reading.

To use the scale, you must first tap it with your foot and wait two or three seconds for it to display 0.0. If you skip this part, it displays "Err" until you step off. This is of course different from a traditional scale, but it took only a few uses for it to become habit. It might be nicer if the toe tap wasn't required, and I deducted a star for that, but we wouldn't trade it back for an analog scale. Perhaps the tap is required to extend the battery life and/or to calibrate the scale to exact zero. There may be other digital scales that don't require the tap, but it really isn't that big of a deal for us.

Customer Review: inaccurate scale!
Summary: 1 Stars

This scale was a major disappointment. I was excited to order this scale, especially being a Weight Watchers member-- hoping to watch my progress at home.

First, the scale weighed me fairly accurately when i stepped on it for the first time (it was around +0.5lbs). I stepped on a second time and it weighed me +2lbs. I stepped on a third time, it then read +4lbs! And yes, a fourth time showed my weight +8.5lbs!! All 4 weigh ins were done in the same half hour, with no food or drink to vary my weight.

I then asked my husband to step on the scale and weigh himself-- and it sent up a "error" screen every single time he attempted to weigh himself. He weighs around 275lb, and has weighed that consistently for a number of years. I was VERY disappointed because this scale was supposed to be able to weigh up to 330lbs-- hence, why i got it!

Thankfully, Amazon excepted my return easily... but it is making me think twice about ordering a weight watchers scale.

Customer Review: I'd give this zero stars
Summary: 1 Stars

I'm actually looking for a regular old fashioned scale and decided to see if anyone else is having problems with WW scale. I'm glad I'm not the only one with PROBLEMS. This was a terrible buy. I can weigh 145 one minute and then weigh 159 the next. I wondered if it was a leveling issue... I placed it all over my house...and no. Same results. The best scale to get is one you see in the doctor's office but who can afford that?

Alright, now I am thinking this is some factory issue. I've now decided to giggle the bottom a bit and try it. Even this morning I weighed 3 pounds more before I took a shower. This thing is annoying. I am going to buy some cheap one from Target and see how that goes (mechanical, that is). I would not recommend this at all. I even stuck two bewildered cats on the scale and it didn't register at all.

Customer Review: Scale seems fine - manufacturer's stupidity drops score
Summary: 3 Stars

Just received this scale from Amazon. As in the online descriptions, the scale's packaging coos about the scale being "sleek," "elegant" and "contemporary."

It would look great - if the manufacturer had not pasted a huge, red, stop-sign shaped sticker right in the center of the glass scale. And not a nice, easy to remove vinyl sticker for those who apparently can't figure out how to activate the scale. No, this is a cheap, impossible to remove without the expense of Goo Gone sticker. Contacted the corporate office to mention this idiot move - zero interest; told me I was calling after hours. Eventually made it past the busy signals of the customer-service 800 number and left them a message.

So, I'm looking forward to using my new scale. Just as soon as I go the hardware store, buy Goo Gone, and scrub off the cheap sticker, that is.
