Great scale, worth the price. I've owned this for about a month now, and it works just fine. It's precise (did the test of stepping on the scale and then drinking a glass of water) and simple to use (you have to tap the scale before you step on it, but it's not a big deal at all). I'd like to make a point anyone want to buy this scale to remember.
Its reading is affected by the surface the scale is on.
Softer surface, less reading, so don't use it on the carpet.
Build and design are good. I like 0.1 lb unit, but reading is unreliable and depends on the surface.

I don't think you should spend the $40.00 on this scale. It doesn't accurately display your weight. I weigh myself one morning and I'm a certain weight and then the next morning I either gained or lossed 4lbs. It is easy to read and seems accurate. I like the fact that is measures in tenth of a pound. I'm currently using it to maintain my weight and am satisfied with the results. I have been looking for one of these for a long time. I am very pleased with my purchase.It is very diffucult to find scales that go over 300 and sometimes it is needed. I like the looks of the product, it is sleek and modern. I had all of the information that I needed from the site.
