Customer Reviews of Weight Watchers WW43/WW43D Memory Glass Electronic Scale

Customer Review: Either a defective product or poorly designed
Summary: 1 Stars

I knew there was a problem with this scale the first time my son weighed himself and it recorded his weight 25+lbs over his weight. He stepped on the scale 3 times in a row and got 3 different weights each at least 20 lbs more than he weighs. The second day, thinking perhaps the scale was not on a level space, we moved it to another location. The LED's that are supposed to indicate that it is balanced did not work properly -- kept indicating the person needed to move to one side even when there was no room left on the scale to do so. Giving it one more try, the third day, 4 different members of the family tried several times to weigh themselves. It was impossible to get the same weight twice in a row and there were variations from 1-15 lbs. We returned it on the fourth day. I'm not sure if I just got a defective product or if this is poorly designed product but I didn't take any chances. I would not recommend this product nor would I buy it again.

Customer Review: Most Inconsistent Scale Ever
Summary: 1 Stars

After using my old Thinner scale for over 7 years, my husband bought me this scale for Christmas, so I can have an updated and "more reliable" scale to weigh in on.

As per the title of my review, this scale is by far the most unreliable, inconsistent scale I've ever used to weigh myself. Depending on where I place the scale, I will weigh 3-5 lbs heavier or lighter! Since the shape does not make it easy to store in the corner of the room, I kept mine underneath my dresser. This meant that every time I pulled out the scale to use it, it was on a slightly different part of the wood floor in my bedroom. Yes, even moving it 6 inches to the right or left created that big of a difference in weight.

I feel bad that my husband wasted his money by buying this scale, because now after attempting to use it for 4 months, I finally bought a new scale. What the point of weighing yourself if your scale is unreliable?

Customer Review: An incredibly major lemon ... do NOT buy ...
Summary: 1 Stars

This scale fails at the two tasks required of a scale. It fails to weigh me accurately and it is so small that my feet do not fit on the entirety of the glass. I can step on the scale three times and each time get a separate reading. In one remarkable case this morning, I stepped on the scale, got one reading, and stepped on once more and got a reading that was eight pounds -- yes, EIGHT pounds -- higher than the first reading. I have never had such joy chucking an object into the dumspter as I experienced disposing of this horrid piece of crap that took $50 of my hard-earned money and did nothing of what it was built for. Weight Watchers usually has a fairly good track record, but its partnership with Conair to create scales has led to a line of nothing but lemons; I highly recommend against their brand in this case!

Customer Review: Great little scale-Excellent value
Summary: 5 Stars

This scale looks stylish and provides an accurate weight. I don't know what else one might want from a scale, but that was sufficient for me. I checked the weight accuracy against the scales at my doctor's, a nutritionist's and my gym. All scales, including mine, were in agreement (to within less than one pound).

Amazon was offering a $20 gift certificate for this purchase at the time (don't know if it's still available). That put the total cost to me with tax and shipping under $35. I couldn't beat or match that anywhere else.

This scale does not provide a body fat measure. From what I read, that feature is often times inaccurate. But whether it is or not, I didn't want or need that feature, so no problem.

If you can match this deal on Amazon or elsewhere for this scale, go for it.

Customer Review: Weight Watchers WW43 Memory Glass Electronic Scale
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought it as a gift for my wife's mom and dad. They reported they really enjoy it. The only problem they had was installing the battery(ies): I don't know if they didn't read the manual, or what. But they figured it out and love the scales. So, installation wasn't a permanent nor insurmountable problem. They like the large -- and lit up -- numbers (which on many black-and-white photos, you can't tell that -- and even in color photos, the marketing department takes a photo without the color of the numbers being activated!) So, they are very easy to read -- and they do light up so you can all the more easily read them. Also, it looks quite stylish. Weight Watchers WW43/WW43D Memory Glass Electronic Scale
