I've used this product over the last 10 years or so. My initial reaction was that it did not work, although I did find that despite its fairly heavy greasy/oily feel and pungent smell, my hair looked pretty great. I didn't notice much growth, however, and stopped using it after about 2 or 3 weeks. About 3 months later, I noticed my hair had undergone a huge growth spurt--I'm talking far more than I'd seen ever before. I thought maybe I didn't see the gradual progress, or maybe I just had a delayed reaction. So I decided to make that my M.O. use it for a little while, and sit back and let it grow. I've grown out and cut off my hair 3 times since then, and whenever I want to grow it back out, I do a few cycles of wildgrowth. I'm currently getting to the end of a bottle and my hair is almost to my bra strap (from chin-length two years ago). I'd really like to try the light version--as the smell is a problem for me and I think my hair type could benefit from a lighter weight oil. Finally, one caveat--it says on the bottle the product is not hypoallergenic--and it isn't. I have increased itchiness on my scalp whenever I use it. Not enough to make me stop, but enough that it merits a warning.Customer Review: Great product..despite the smell

This hair oil is a great product. My hair was damaged from taking prednisone and no doubt from too much heat. I bought a pony tail, stopped using my flat iron and blow dryer, put a Dr. Miracle relaxer in my hair and started using this oil My hair is repaired, long, bone straight and soft. This stuff smells terrible but I don't care. I've got my hair back!!Customer Review: Hair is softer but not much of a difference

I think that this oil is GREAT for softness, but it WAS difficult to wash out of my daughter's hair. I have since switched over to the "light" version of this product, which doesn't leave her hair AS soft, but it DOES soften her hair. Alos, this stuff STANK to high heaven in my opinion, so I stopped using it. The light version has a nice scent AND it leaves even MY hair soft. I have the kinkyiest of kinky afro hair.
