Customer Reviews of Win High Performance Sport Liquid Detergent, Super Oxygenated Formula, 21-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 4)Customer Review: Works but needs Improvement Summary: 4 Stars
In hopes of finding a better solution to an everyday problem that faces many of us, this product still needs improvement. I agree with everyone's comment about the how this product gets the "Stink" out of laundry, Being a male, I think most women would simply shrug there shoulders at a male posting about a task that is better left to women. Problem solving in the Laundry area is not "Rocket Science" but concerning that many products claim to do this and that, we are left to our own "Trial and Error" tests.
There is not 1 single product that can take care of getting the Laundry done to one's satisfaction, so far ! I believe that if you conducted a poll, you would find more then 2 products in a normal household for each task in the washing area. Like most people, I try to find the best product at the best price to do the job that it was intended for. As a child, I remembered my mother being hooked on "Surf and/or Gain" for detergent and "Snuggle and/or Downey" for softener and maybe Liquid clorox for the bleach. At times, we find that we all experimented along the way, we added 1 or more products to the wash, hoping to get it right one day.
Laundry is no longer a "Womens" task in the household, it's becoming an Family Adventure to see who can make our smelly clothes smell better then the rest of the family.
I see this product as an "additive", not a replacement and surely not as a product for everyday use cause of it's cost.
Customer Review: works great, but too fragrant and bad shipping from amazon Summary: 3 Stars
This product works exactly as advertised -- the residual odors in my workout clothes and other synthetic clothing is gone! My one complaint with the product is that the fragrance is too strong -- I would prefer a scent free version, because when I get hot when I work out, the vaguely floral scent becomes over-powering (though still better than the smell of old sweat). I contacted the manufacturer, and they said if enough people asked for such a line extension, they would make it. The one other fairly major problem is that Amazon had to ship this to me twice -- the first time, it leaked so badly, DHL wouldn't deliver it. The second time, Amazon tried individually wrapping each bottle in a ziploc bag. They got it to my door this time, but there was still lots of leakage. To Amazon's credit, they offered me a credit for the lost product. The manufacturer said they will be in touch with Amazon to ask them to hand tighten each bottle prior to shipping. Hopefully amazon will get past these initial bugs (it is a new product, in the new grocery store) and continue to stock this very useful product.
Customer Review: This is the ONLY thing I have found that works! 100% satisfied. Summary: 5 Stars
Seriously, this stuff absolutely ROCKS!
Ok, ok, I am a self professed germophobe and I wash my hands at least 25 times a day. I guess I am saying that my personal hygiene is very important to me and I don't even like the idea of having smelly cycling clothes.
While I absolutely love the wicking and comfort associated with technical fabrics, boy o boy they can develop a rank stench over time that you really cannot smell until you start perspiring in them again.
I have used Tide with bleach on my cycling apparel so many times it is silly and still the faint "DMS - dead mouse smell" comes back.
That is, until I tried WIN.
I use it in my High Efficiency washer, on warm with my cycling stuff and it absolutely cleans the heck out of my fabrics and after 2 washings with training in 97 degree heat between the washings - I can say with total clarity - NO DMS.
I ordered one 4 pack the first time and reordered 2 more today.
Say no more.
Customer Review: didnt remove odors as effectively as promised Summary: 2 Stars
I am a varsity athlete for a college rowing team. I work out on average 20 hours a week and thus have a large amount of dirty atheletic apparell to deal with on a weekly basis.
I expected that WIN would solve my laundry problems. However when i tested it out on what i would call a normal to smaller sized load of athletic laundry, it didnt clean the clothes as thoroughly as my regular TIDE detergent. I used the reccomended half capful for this load so thereafter i figured that i needed to use at least a full cap to one and a half capfulls in order to adequately clean my laundry.
After increasing the amount of detergent that i used it did get my clothes clean but still not any better than regular detergent.
All in all i spent more than i think i should on a bottle of detergent that lasted a week and i would not buy this product again. I seriously doubt that it is capable of cleaning the clothing of Olympic athletes if it cant even clean my own.
Customer Review: Gets the funk out. Summary: 5 Stars
I do some type of physical activity almost every day and I have several wicking shirts that I had just about given up on because of the smell once they got wet again after washing. I used Win one time and the smell was gone - this is great stuff. Even after long weekend camping trips going hiking and mountain biking with no access to a washer and dryer I can come back home and throw my ripe clothes in the machine with a little bit of Win and they come out smelling great, and they do not start to stink right away when I start sweating in them again like they would if cleaned with regular detergent. Also, I normally buy the "free" types of detergents with no perfumes or dyes because of past reactions but I have had no problems in that dept with this product.
