Customer Reviews of Woolite Dry Cleaner's Secret Dry Cleaning Cloths, 14-Count BoxCustomer Review: wow .. it really does work !! Summary: 4 Stars
I used these sheets to clean a sportjacket and it worked great. The process is simple and easy too. You just unfold a sheet from the packet and place it in the dryer with the clothing article(s) and dry on medium heat for exactly 20 minutes. Once you take it out of the dryer, then you simply hang it on a clothes hanger and you're finished. I put the product to the test when I cleaned a satin wedding gown that had been packed away in a box for years. The cleaning sheets never helped in removing the pre-existing wrinkles, but the dress came out just fine, and even the delicate lace was unharmed. The gown smelled fresh and was visibly clean .. and I saved about 100 bucks by not taking it to the dry cleaners. I have no negatives about this product whatsoever. I really does work !!
Customer Review: Superb for sweaters Summary: 5 Stars
I love sweaters, in winter that's pretty much all I wear. Pricey to dry clean though. I just tried one of these sheets on 4 sweaters in the dryer. I'm pretty impressed. Cat fur? Gone. Frumpiness? Gone. Underarm smellies? Gone. Hello fluffy & fresh. I de-pilled a couple of the sweaters by hand before I threw them in. If you do have a stain, I recommend getting a bottle of Guardsman's and use that to de-stain before this process. I'm now going to try it on my jeans, as I read that another reviewer had good results with that. I think now ONE trip to the dry cleaners per season for my sweater cleaning will be enough... and I'll use this for regular maintenance. Oh and I was afraid the scented ones would be too perfumey but the fragrance dissipates rapidly once out of the dryer.
Customer Review: Shrinkage and oily residue Summary: 2 Stars
I used this product with a vintage, off-white, wool cardigan I wear quite a bit.
The sweater wasn't noticeably dirty or smelly, but I wear it so often I figured it could use a cleaning. It game out with a definite "newness. The wool has a renewed fluffiness, it's noticeably cleaner and smelling fresh.
However, it was also noticeably smaller. It's still wearable, but being tall, the cuffs are riding uncomfortably high on my wrists now.
Handling it also leaves an oily residue on my hands. I haven't read reports of this anywhere else, so I thought I'd let people know. It's not subtle either. Just brushing against it with my hand leaves some kind of oil.
Oily chemicals. Yuck...
Customer Review: A wonderful money saving clothes cleaning product Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using Dry Cleaaner's Secret for a number of years and it cleans and deodorizes clothing really well. I clean all clothing which cannot be tumble dried after washing (e.g.: line dry or dry flat, etc) unless instructions say do not dry clean, as well as dry clean only items. Instructions say one sheet will clean up to 4 items but I have done up to six or seven at times if the items are not too bulky. I have also dry cleaned pillows and a sleeping bag as well as a comforter. Of course you need an oversized dryer to do the extra large items (sleeping bag/comforter). All it takes is 20 minutes in your dryer on the permanent press cycle. Remove clothes promptly when done so they do not wrinkle from laying in the dryer.
Customer Review: LEFT HUGE DARK STAINS Summary: 1 Stars
I have been a Dryel user for a long time but tried this product the other day on a dark green cotton sweater and a pair of dark green cotton sweatpants. Both came out with HUGE ROUND DARK STAINS on them. I followed directions to a tee. Both these garments have been cleaned by Dryel many times without a problem. This time, using a Woolite sheet, they went into the dryer without stains and came out with stains. The hotline is closed over the weekend but I'm putting a call into the Woolite folks first thing Monday AM.
Hw could the chemical in these sheets cause stains like this??
Will never use again. And am upset that the sweater is now unwearable and cost me a pretty penny.
