Customer Review: The Wrist Widget saved my wrist.

A little background on me. I'm a 23 year old male with a fractured wrist. I dealt with my injury for a pretty since I was 19. I knew I was injured but I dealed with it and still worked. I just felt like I couldn't get it fixed, I wouldn't have money or something would be wrong, maybe I figured it would just get better one day since it didn't hurt too much. It was just another bad choice not to get it fixed right away. Eventually I started wrapping my hand and wrist with an ace bandage. It was incredibly uncomfortable and even made me lose feeling in my hand/wrist. Then, I went to CVS and Sports Authority, and I bought every single hand/wrist braces they had. These were only discomforting to me and I honestly could not do anything with my wrist. It came to the point where I felt like I didn't have a left wrist/hand, I'd rest my left wrist on a pillow, type only with my right hand, and didn't use my left hand. It was even going up to my whole arm. This is the God's honest truth and this is why I feel it is a sin for people to rate it with a 1 or 2 stars and say it's made of cheap material. All that other generic crap out there at CVS did nothing but make it worse. Anyway, I looked all over for something I could just buy for support or anything I could do. It would cost me $15,000 to get the wrist fixed now since they say I didn't have insurance when it happened. $15,000 for something that happened when some idiot tackled me..just my life.
Well, I came across the WristWidget and from all the research I did I thought I could spend the $45 to try it out.. Why not give it a try? It has been a lifesaver. It really gives me instant relief on my wrist and I feel it has repaired it to some point. It doesn't feel 100% but I can definitely go without feeling any discomfort/pain when wearing the Wrist Widget. Now my wrist can even have no discomfort without the Wrist Widget; however, if I'm going to be lifting or putting my wrist an uncomfortable position then I'll want the Wrist Widget on.
It is very small and flimsy but that is better, It actually works and since it's small it's easier to wear under a shirt or just even in a T-Shirt. I'm not wearing some bulky generic thing, it looks almost like a bracelet and can be covered easily. I wasn't sure if I'd leave a review until I lost my widget and went back to the old braces or wraps from CVS and my wrist felt awful again. Then, I realized bow great the Wrist Widget is for me, thank goodness I found it the next day.
These people are really brilliant and I think their price is very fair considering what you get. Leaving the front open instead of covering the whole wrist is brilliant. Thank you!
I would definitely recommend to anyone with wrist pain, maybe it won't work for all wrist pain for everyone, I don't know, but it certainly helps my fractured wrist dramatically. I wish these people very well and I hope they continue to work at better ways of support/healing. Thank you

This revolutionary wrist support is actually quite brilliant. I injured my wrist quite severely on the outer side which turned out to be a TFCC problem causing a serious amount of pain and almost total loss of use of my right hand. Any attempt to turn the wrist or bear any weight was excruciating. I looked online and saw this product on You Tube. It was claimed by the inventor to be the answer to this form of wrist problem by exerting a variable amount of pressure to the correct areas of the wrist. I was sceptical at first mainly because of the price. I looked on Amazon UK and this was selling for £30 plus and to be honest it is probably worth about 50p in total when you consider the cost of manufacture but I do realise that something of this nature needs to be a certain price to make the manufacturing run worthwhile as this is not something most people would need often. After some deliberation though I decided that if it worked it was a small price to pay for relief from the pain, so I decided to buy one. Unfortunately Amazon UK did not have any in stock and there was no indication as to when they would be available. I looked on Amazon USA and there they were at the bargain price of 30 dollars. I ordered one and although the website stated that the item might take up to 28 days to arrive, it actually came within the week. The cost with postage took the price up to the original £30 but after wearing this support for three weeks now and am finding the benefits absolutely unbelieveable it was money well spent. After just the first day I found the pain had subsided almost totally and I can now do any job using my right wrist normally. I am not sure how long the item will last in the long term nor how long I will have to continue to use it but it seems to be holding up well so far. Can't recommend this enough.

Having had my share of wrist ailments through the years, I have always dealt with pain and decreased wrist strength. I had accepted that as someone who has broken one wrist and torn ligaments in both I understand my limitations and came to terms with what I could and couldn't do. That was until my most recent injury some additional tears including a TFCC tear that I suffered while rock climbing. After some inactivity and a few months of rehab I was ready to get back in the gym, but the strength had not fully returned. The hand surgeon I was seeing recommended another wrist splint the Tiger Paw, which was horrendous. I did my own research and asked her about the WW. She said she hadn't had firsthand experience but she had heard good things.
For the haters: I agree there is not much to this device, however sometimes the best things are simple things. The WW is well designed to do what it is supposed to do. This is not a splint or a device to immobilize the wrist. It simply provides wrist support, increasing strength and decreasing pain. Now that my wrists are "healthy" (a relative term for me) I use the WW on each hand during certain strenuous activities: rock climbing and lifting weights (definitely on push-ups and chest day). The difference with and without the WW is incredible. This is not a mental thing; the WW absolutely increases stability and strength and I couldn't live without it.
Will it last forever? No. What velcro product does. But I have had mine for close to a year and with frequent use it is still as good as new. If I have to replace one every few years, that is a small price to pay for the WW allowing me to return to the gym and the rocks.

I have ulna side wrist pain in both of my wrists. Since wearing this product (which is very comfortable and durable, I have it on 24/7) I have noticed SIGNIFICANT improvement to my wrists. Some have complained about the price; but I ask, is it better to pay $50 now and give it a try or spend thousands on surgery?? Or you could try all of the traditional splints from drug stores, but realize that none of those braces are designed to treat a specific part of the wrist, and do not have the same functionality as this; they all cover the tip of the ulna bone. This is specifically designed to treat ulna side wrist pain. If you where to custom make such a brace it would cost you well over $50 (it is made in the U.S).The customer care was very impressive. I actually got a call from the inventor herself, and she spent a significant amount of time going over my condition. Where else do you get care like this? Overall I highly recommend it because if you are reading this review then you know how agonizing wrist pain is and I would pay far more than 50 bucks to help alleviate the pain and start the healing process; but thank god I didn't need too.Customer Review: Great Product

I decided to try this product after I strained my wrist playing tennis. To be honest, I was a skeptical purchaser who came away pleasantly surprised by my experience using the product. After hurting my wrist, I purchased a standard wrist support with velcro fastening straps from the local pharmacy thinking it would stabilize my wrist during play. The support purchased was one continuous strap about 2" wide. It really didn't help since after playing tennis the pain in my wrist was worse after playing than before. After receiving the WristWidget, I used it during my next match and the pain in my wrist was no worse after play than before. I strapped on the WristWidget and assured that the slotted side was wrapped around the tender side of my wrist which was on the thumb side of my wrist. I've continued to use the WristWidget and noticed that my wrist has continued to heal even though I continue to play. It appears that the straps provide enough stabilization of affected tendons so as not to allow further injury. I am very pleased....pretty amazing product.
