Customer Reviews of Yogourmet Multi Electric Yogurt Maker with CBA StarterCustomer Review: Great alternative! Summary: 5 Stars
If you eat a lot of yogurt, then this maker will help you save some $$ and avoid buying (and carrying) a lot of plastic containers, which is great for the environment. The yogurt tastes very good, but you may need to have it sit much longer than recommended in the instructions to obtain a firm texture. We let it "brew" overnight; this way 2% milk turns out to be a good consistency even without added milk solids (or gelatin - but who would put this into yogurt anyway?).
Customer Review: Great for a large volume of plain yogurt Summary: 4 Stars
This made a nice creamy regular plain yogurt. I like thicker yogurt like greek yogurt but I think if you drain it a little with the bag it comes with or cheesecloth you could get it thicker. It makes a great yogurt cheese/cream cheese like spread if you use the bag and drain it a couple of hours. So far I've only used it a couple of times. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that it takes a long time to get the final result, but you have to expect that.
Customer Review: Great yogurt maker! Summary: 5 Stars
After a lot of research into yogurt making and machines... I ordered this one and am very pleased with it so far. It makes a lot of yogurt... 2 quarts, but you can make 1 quart quantities if you'd like. I liked that it didn't contain BPF in the plastic and that it came with the bacteria and the thermometer and cheesecloth to make the yogurt cheese. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to everyone interested in making their own yogurt.
Customer Review: nothing like homemade Summary: 5 Stars
If you eat alot of yogurt, homemade is the only kind you should be eating. This machine is so easy to use. The first time I used this machine the yogurt came out perfect. I make mine with soymilk. We have the option of adding any fresh fruit of the day and anything else we desire. The large capacity container is easier to store in the fridge than all those individual containers. Enjoy!
Customer Review: Works OK Summary: 4 Stars
I've only used this item once and didn't have very good results. Probably need more practice. It's an expensive method of getting Yogurt when I can go to Aldi's and buy 32oz of plain or vanilla yogurt for $1.50 and the consistency is always what I expect. I have about $90 tied up in this and the culture which is about what I'd have spent for yogurt at Aldi's in 6 or 7 years.
