Customer Review: Remington cc-100 Shaver Cleaner

I don't think I can fault the merchant for this one as they probably had no way of knowing. The product received was not model cc-100 as requested, and as advertised and pictured, but rather cc-100a. At first, I thought it was just an updated version of the product since it said it would work in ALL Remington cleaner systems. But it does not; it foams like crazy and runs out of the [MS-5500] cleaning system. It obviously is a different product with wrong labeling by Remington! I called Remington and their customer no-service people seemed baffled by my comments that the product looked and performed differently. They requested I send it to them for a refund; I did, and they refunded only 75% of my cost with no comments, apology, explanation -- nothing, just a check! Not a great company!
The difference between the two products is visibly obvious. The cc-100 product is clear and the bottle has a 1" diameter cap. The new cc-100a product is blue and has a 2" cap. So if you have an older MS-5500 or MS-5700 shaver system, make sure the vendor sends you the cc-100 (clear) fluid.

Meijer and Walmart no longer sell this item. This is the only way to clean your Remington shaver if you have those models, so you have to go on line to purchase the product. Unfortunately when I last cleaned my shaver the solution leaked all over the counter. I'm not sure why and will look to see if it does this again. This item is purchased for my wife who does use the Remington Smart system razor. It is the most convenient and cost saving way to purchase the cleaning solution CC-100. It is easy to order and gets delivered to us in the most expeditious manner. It saves us time and money to order by this method.Customer Review: Does the job, but pricey for what it is.

The razor requires cleaning with the manufacturer's product, but the cleaner's ingredient label reveals that it is 98% alcohol with a touch of jojoba oil and fragrance. Pretty pricey for something that's almost entirely alcohol. I think I'll try my own mix next time.Customer Review: The cleaner

This cleaner for my husband's Remington electric razor can not be found in stores. So I always go to Amazon.com and find the perfect deal on multiples of the cleaner at a great price. It is easy to order, safe to order, and always comes in the mail on time.
