I'm happy with my GHD. My hair always flips out at the ends but the GHD straightens it very nicely. The best item i've used so far to do the job. And the best part is I got a really good deal from Amazon. I saw the same iron at Sephora for $240. The reviews say to be careful for GHD fakes but my Amazon GHD is ligit... It's crazy that this is still a problem when it is so widely known. Amazon - as always - is being very customer service oriented with regards to getting a replacement and making it easy to return the knock off. I'm hoping that the replacement one is authentic. I ordered this flat iron at the recommendation of my hair dresser and I am so glad I did. Aside from the ease of use, and how quick it heats up, I love all the compliments I am receiving. Although it was pricy, it is so worth it. I have yet to try the curl capability, but I am enjoying the silkiness of the straightening for now.Customer Review: It does make a difference

I did not think that ceramic staighteners could be so different, but my daughter told me this one was. She was right. There really is a difference!!! This one heats up fast, leaves my hair feeling smooth and silky, instead of dead. I have ordered a great deal of products from Amazon for over 10 years, and I believe this is the first item I've had to return. As a previous reviewer found with hers, mine had no hologram on the tag so I could not register it with [...], and the plates were not aligned properly. I've sent it back for a refund.
