I bought this flat iron after getting an awful shoulder-length cut that caused my ends to flip-out 50s style. My hair is color-treated, mostly straight with some waves, and kind of frizzy if I don't blow-dry. YES, the iron took the kinks out, but the smoke coming off my DRY hair was alarming, considering my hair is already pretty dry. Now I'm paranoid about using it everyday and save it for special occasions. If I could return this item, I would buy an iron with temperature control instead. Seriously, take my advice on this!
