This trashcan is not one for under the sink or to store in a cabinet as it's too large....could be placed in a closet though. I leave mine out in plain view for ease of use and it's very attractive so that works. I use it with 30-33 gallon trashcan liners. I also purchased the "touchless AC adaptor" simply to save on battery use. I purchased the trashcan just before Christmas and my holiday guests were very impressed with it.

100% hands-free, foot-free operated, lidded waste disposal system. The built-in infrared sensor and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Smart-Chip knows when you need to open trash can, and do all the openings and closings for you without touching or step-on anything. No germs on the lid and no odor. Place hand or unwanted debris about 6 inches away from the infrared sensor near the lid. It will open instantly and will close automatically in 5-second after debris has been released and hand moves away. Lid will remain open if debris or hand is within the sensor range. There are two buttons on the front to open and close the lid manually and an on/off switch. Use 4 D sized batteries. Batteries last up to one year. The New Generation 23 Touchless Trashcan has an improved infrared technology that prevents accidental openings and comes with 4 wheels (a $10 value).Brushed stainless steel finish, optional AC adapter, optional wheel set. Item ships via over sized class. Actual weight is 24 lbs. Box dimensions are 18x19x35.
