I was on vacation when the replacement bulb arrived. I have had a verilux for two years. When I moved from Los Angeles to Toronto I brought the lamp with bulb with me. On arrival the bulb was broken. It was hard to find a replacement so I was happy that Amazon came through for me again. It is a small item, but the lamp is so good for reading it was a delight to have it in use again. I think there was a delay in delivery since I used a Canadian Visa. I guess it got used so I'm even grateful for that. I would recommend a verilux lamp to anyone. Great asset for reading if one reads a lot. Thank you.Customer Review: Wasted Money

The "first" bulb I received from the Website lasted approximatey 45 minutes before burning out. I have not been able to determine if the bulb was incorrect for my lamp or not. When I called the 800 number and explained this,the person at the other end was apologetic and offered to send me a replacement. When the replacement arrived, it was cracked and broken in several places. I gave up and vowed never to order anything so fragile through the mail again.Customer Review: Buy the cheaper one, this is NOT a Verilux brand bulb

When you look at the options to get a replacement bulb, you see there are inexpensive off-brand bulbs and the more expensive original brand. This is a cheap bulb sold for the expensive price.
Semantically they may be covered by calling it "Verilux Replacement Bulb" bulb. It's like selling a Ford Fiesta as a "BMW Replacement Car". Don't fall for it.
Buy from MyGift and you will receive a MyGift Brand Bulb.

I ordered 2 Verilux bulbs,one was broken during shipping because the company did not put enough packing material in the box. I received a prompt refund although I would have preferred a replacement. Either I don't what I am doing or the bulb is not sitting right in the socket but it does not come on unless I push it down. So.....Customer Review: This is a knockoff - NOT a Verilux branded bulb

The picture from MyGift clearly shows the Verilux bulb, but the bulb received is a knockoff branded MyGift. Generic bulbs on Amazon and other places were about half the MyGift price. I paid extra to get the Verilux bulb, but got the knockoff. Do not buy from MyGift unless you are prepared for less than exemplary ethics.
